Neil Evans

Neil is an experienced product specialist with over twenty years‘ experience in Product Recall and Crisis Management. He is a respected market leader in this niche class, with a career track record at AIG, as well as launching new teams at Catlin and Talbot Lloyd’s Syndicate. Neil has a proven track record of developing a new class of business, team building, and forging solid relationships with strategic partners. He’s had P&L responsibility in his last three roles – and has consistently outperformed the market over the last 20 years.



Ed Mitchell

Head of BluNiche UK

Ed has been involved in Product Recall insurance for 27 years as a broker, reinsurer and insurer. Ed has underwritten UK Product Recall business throughout the last 22 years. During this time he has been involved in underwriting with a proven track record for innovation, global market knowledge, building multi-territorial operations and portfolio management. Ed has been part of the development of the Product Recall market since the late 1990s, and has been heavily involved in building Product Recall businesses from scratch, developing market leading products and coverages and building relationships with strategic partners from brokers to reinsurers. Ed’s focus has been on building sustainable, long-term profitable portfolios both in London and other territories outperforming the market over the cycle. Ed was the founding chair of the LMA Product Recall Committee (2018 – 2023).



Alexander King

Senior Underwriter, BluNiche

Alex has been working in the banking and insurance sectors for more than a decade.

He joined BluNiche from Allianz, where his roles included Senior Product Recall Underwriter. During his time in this role Alex utilised his strong underwriting discipline and excellent broker relationships to help establish the largest product recall book in London.

Other roles at Allianz included Liability Underwriter (Clinical Trials) and Head of Global Process Coordination within the CUO Liability Function, which has given him a unique insight into the financial workings of large organisations – enabling him to accurately assess risk and source realistic insurance products for his clients.



Riya Saxena

Manager, Underwriting Services

Riya has over six years of experience in the insurance industry and holds a Certified Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Specializing in commercial lines, she has worked extensively in managing insurance business operations, particularly for UK-based processes. Prior to joining BluNiche, Riya held leadership roles at Xceedance Consulting, where she managed the setup of MGAs and provided end-to-end operational oversight for personal and commercial lines of insurance, including product recall coverage. Her experience includes process improvements & automation and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance and efficiency.



Josh Robertson

Underwriter, BluNiche

In his role as Underwriter, Josh brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the BluNiche team, including a strong background in risk assessment, financial analysis and collaboration.

Josh’s previous roles include working as a product recall specialist broker at WTW, where he was responsible for the procurement and placement of risks from all geographies around the world into the London market.

Professional qualifications include a Diploma in Insurance from the CII (DipCII) and a certification with Lloyd’s Brussels allowing him to work on risks emanating from the EU.
